Donation Corner
Your support and contributions provide basic necessities for the homeless and prepare them for the workforce.
Highway to Destiny's story began when Tamela was 12 years old. While riding with her mother and father down Kingshighway, she looked to her right and saw a man carrying everything he owned on his back. What she saw touched her heart and her purpose was revealed to her. Ten years later, Highway to Destiny was born.
To serve the homeless in St. Louis by providing basic necessities and other resources that will help them transition into communities.
We have made a difference in communities by providing Covid masks, lunches, blankets, hygiene items and $20 bills to homeless individuals. The Street Patrol is our Drops of Love Recipient for March-April, 2024.
HTD will launch a new program in 2024. Clients will be trained in fields, such as painting, plumbing, building inspections and construction. They will be paired with employers and they will receive compensation. At the end of the program, employers have the option of hiring clients as regular employees.
HTD will hire staff and volunteers.
We are asking you to become a HTD Golden Donor (set up a monthly donation) or be a supporter and give a one-time gift.
Your donations will pay for our clients' training, wages and transportation to classes and job sites.
If you want to give to our Drops of Love Program (we purchase food, clothing, hygiene and household items for them), specify that when you give your donation.
We were one of Whole Foods grant recipients a few months ago.
So, they invited us to spend some time with their employees and customers. We want to thank Whole Foods for their hospitality.
We couldn't have come at a better time to lend a hand to this facility because they had recently experienced a fire. We provided them with hygiene items, such as deodorant, soap, toothpaste and other basics, along with some backpacks and snacks.
We were able to serve approximately 55-60 people at this facility.
One of our volunteers (Angelic Hobart) decided to spread joy to the hearts of those residing at Room at the Inn. They received an abundanace of supplies and they were very grateful.
