Tamela Nixon

Tamela has worked for the Trustee of the Eastern District of MO for over 22 years. Before that, she received her MBA in Management from Webster University. 


Tamela's passion is helping others—especially the unhoused community.


This is what led to the creation of Highway to Destiny.

The History of HTD...

The Beginning

 Highway to Destiny's story began when Tamela was 12 years of age.


While riding with her mother and father down Kingshighway, she looked to her right and saw a man carrying everything he owned on his back. What she saw touched her heart, and her purpose was revealed to her.


Ten years later, Highway to Destiny was born.
